Patio season is just around the corner, and with that comes barbeques, cocktails with friends, and sports games to watch, all while eating a lot of this and drinking a lot of that, and we all know how much fun all that eating and drinking can be…until you put on a pair of pants and find out that, oh no….they’re too tight!
There’s not much fun in that!!!
Now what?
One of the best ways to get control back of your eating habits is to keep a food diary!
Research has proven it works!
Write down everything you eat, and I mean everything! How much you eat of it (quantity), and at what time you ate it!
Don’t censor it!
Do this every day for a week.
Review it at the end of the week with a nutritionally sound friend (or a fitness trainer educated in nutrition and fat loss) and you’ll start to see those “little” extras that you didn’t really need, or you’ll notice some of the food choices you made that might not have been so healthy or fat loss friendly at the time, or maybe you’ll even see that you haven’t eaten enough!
Your first step towards getting a handle on your diet is to become aware, and the best way to become aware is to WRITE IT DOWN!
Once you become aware, you’re in control! Now you’re in a much better position to make smarter and more conscious choices!
So start to gain control, become aware, and WRITE IT DOWN!
